Zing Supports Denver Public Library Friends Foundation
Zing Credit Union linked up the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation with a $500 #500ForGood grant from the FHLB-Topeka to go towards purchasing children’s books. On March 4th, 2021, Zing Credit Union presented the DPL Friends Foundation with the $500 check. The books purchased through this grant will be distributed to local children via the library’s book mobile, and meal distribution sites. Zing staff had a hand in selecting some of the books donated by nominating titles that were meaningful to them. Titles that were selected included:

- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, by Judith Viorst
- Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak
- Green Eggs and Ham, by Dr. Seuss
- Bear Snores On, by Karma Wilson
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle
- Llama Llama Red Pajama, by Anna Dewdney
- The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend, by Dan Santat
- Chicka Chicka Boom B00m, by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
- Magic Tree House, by Mary Pope Osborne
- Biscuit, by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
The library also used the funds to purchase new books with diverse representation of children and different cultures.
